    Superintendent

    Managerial

    • Supervise and mentor junior superintendents
    • Collaborate and brainstorm with management and operations to enhance business operations
    • Coordinate work on projects with foreman and PM to be completed on or ahead of contract schedule
    • Assist in planning and maintaining jobsite logistics, security, and safety
    • Manage quality assurance program to comply with project specifications and company policies
    • Maintain positive working relationships with Owners and subcontractors
    • Continue to recruit qualified field talent to complement our business

    Safety

    • Enforce company safety policy on the jobsite
    • Ensure the safety manual is on site
    • Ensure appropriate signage is in place in job trailers and information for nearest emergency health facility is posted in job trailer
    • Monitor foreman to ensure all toolbox talks are taking place on projects and submitted to the office for recording
    • Review with foreman and monitor that proper housekeeping on site to ensure a safe and productive work environment
    • Work with insurance company and safety management company on jobsite inspections on a periodic basis

    Quality Control

    • Review construction documents for constructability and construction sequence once issued by Owner
    • Coordinate timely and accurate job-site layout and controls
    • Confirm that all work placed complies with specifications, quality standards and contract
    • Perform pre-punch lists prior to scheduled walk through with Owner

    Schedule

    • Assist PM in development of the project schedule in accordance with Owner schedule
    • Oversee the schedule of materials, deliveries, subcontractors, hoisting, inspections, and company personnel to meet the project schedule
    • Monitor progress against the approved schedule and take action to ensure that the project proceeds on the established schedule.
    • Prepare short term and long term manpower schedules with input from subcontractors. Discuss any issues with PM
    • Review submittal log to ensure that material will be available to the jobsite to complement the project schedule

    Construction

    • Attend the job start meeting and follow up that field is getting all of the answers they need
    • Coordinate jobsite logistic plan with PM and Owner
    • Set up job-site office
    • Verify jobsite security to minimize vandalism, theft, property damage, or loss
    • Ensure proper and accurate job coordination and layout on a timely basis
    • Maintain productive working relationship with Owners, PMs, and subcontractors
    • Maintain effective and regular communication with PM and include PM in any changes that need to be made on job sites. Prepare RFI requests
    • Review and understand scope of work and ensure the same from the subcontractors
    • Ensure subcontractors are receiving and reviewing copies of shop drawings and submittals
    • Confirm that all construction documents used on the jobsite are current and available

    Close Out

    • Ensure punch list items are completed
    • Maintain a set of redline drawings for preparation of as builds.
    • Facilitate transition of documents from the field and back to the office for archiving
    • Follow up that warranty issues are being taken care of
    • Attend project closeout meeting

    Miscellaneous

    • Assist in identifying project alternatives and value engineering
    • Assist in quantity take-off, scoping, and bid solicitation on assigned projects
    • Work with management and operations on developing process and procedures to enhance efficiency and increase profits

    Qualifications

    • 10 Years minimum experience as a superintendent or associated responsibilities
    • Strong experience in the following construction types: public, multi-unit residential, commercial, tenant build-outs, schools, JOC, retail, industrial
    • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Project
    • Good time management skills
    • Solid written and oral communication skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Procore - Preferred
    • OSHA 30 - Preferred
    • Government/Public Work/CPS/CHA/CDB Experience - Preferred

    Project Engineer

    Project Engineer is responsible for assisting the Operations Department, and is highly organized with strong attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, anticipate and solve problems, set priorities, and meet deadlines and goals. Need to have strong interpersonal, customer service, time management, problem solving, and information gathering skills, be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a team setting, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be a highly discrete, professional, efficient, honest, flexible, and reliable individual.

    Project Engineer Duties

    Coordination, preparation, and maintenance of all incoming and outgoing project-related correspondence and documentation as related to all our projects. Specifically, this includes:

    • Letters
    • Proposals
    • Assisting with change orders
    • Bid-related paperwork (if assisting on a bid)
    • Subcontractor agreements and exhibits
    • Meeting minutes
    • Assisting with purchase orders
    • Certificates of insurance
    • Submittals processing
    • RFI processing
    • Owner closeout packages
    • Set up new projects
    • Set up field office files
    • Maintain project directories and vendor databases
    • Assisting Accounting Department with necessary documentation
    • Compliance documentation and reporting
    • Certified Payrolls tracking
    • Maintain various tracking logs, both project specific and company-wide logs
    • Maintain subcontractors qualifications
    • File creation, filing, faxes, mail, etc.

    This position is actively involved in daily subcontractor and client relations, makes all pertinent phone calls, and prepares all documents for distribution. 

    The primary software utilized in this position is Procore along with client specific software / websites portals (e-Builder, PRZM, B2G, LCP Tracker). Although familiarity with this software is not required but is preferred.

    Qualifications

    3-5 years’ experience preferred, along with experience working on Public Sector Projects, i.e., CPS/CPD/CHA/CDB, etc.
